Project Details
The Denso Petrolatum Tape System was recently used to protect tie-rods in a new parking and platforms development for the Fish, Vegetables & Fruits Market at Kalba City, in the Emirate of Sharjah in the U.A.E. It is an exclave of Sharjah, lying on the Gulf of Oman coast, north of Oman. This is just one of many developments taking place along the corniche.
The project included the protection of all 570 meters of 43mm & 64mm dia. new tie rods (SAS threaded bar) connecting the sheet piling. The consultants chose this Denso system to provide long-term protection to all the tie rods. The mutually compatible Denso Primer D™ was used as an alternative to the standard Denso Paste™ (primer) as these were new tie rods in good condition.
