Densyl™ Tape
Densyl™ Tape is a petrolatum based tape that has been specially modified to perform in tropical climates. It is used to protect pipelines and fittings that are subject to a higher temperature range than those protected by Denso™ Tape.
The Petrolatum Tape System comprising; Denso™ Paste; Densyl Tape, wrapped with a 55% overlap; and Denso™ PVC Self-Adhesive Tape, wrapped with a 55% overlap meets the ISO21809-3 Standard.
A Fire Retardant grade – Densyl™ KF Tape is also available.

In areas of increased soil stress can Denso offer additional mechanical protection?
Winn & Coales manufacture a wide range of outer wraps. From the Denso™ PVC SA Tape in 200, 250 & 440 micron grades to heavy duty Denso™ Glass Outerwrap, Denso™ Glass Outerwrap UV and Denso Glass Outerwrap HD.
Is the Denso Tape suitable for climates with elevated ambient temperatures?
Winn & Coales manufacture different grades of Petrolatum based anti-corrosion tape. For example Denso Tape is our temperate grade petrolatum based anti-corrosion tape. Whereas Densyl™ Tape is our tropical grade petrolatum based anti-corrosion tape, which has been specially formulated to perform in hotter climates, such as in the Middle East.
Are you able to inspect the fitting after application?
The systems are non-setting, allowing an easy inspection. After inspection the system shall be reinstated by wrapping additional tape over the inspected area.
What tools are required to prepare the surface for Denso Anti-Corrosion Systems?
Depending on the level of surface preparation specified tools from hand held wire brushes to power tools or grit blasting could be required. Consult individual product data sheets and our surface preparation guide for more information.
