Project Details
Winn & Coales (Denso) Ltd were recently specified to provide protection for two hexagonal larsen piles at the Red Funnel Ferry crossing, which have been operating ferries to the Isle of Wight for over 160 years.
Height of protection – 8.02m.
Each pile consists of 4 x 1.9m jackets and 1 x 0.62m jacket.
Due to the irregular-shaped piles HDPE fillets were used to create an even profile around the pile, before the installation of the SeaShield 2000FD jackets.
