Project Details
Due to our track record and surface tolerant systems, Winn & Coales (Denso) Ltd was recently specified for the protection of 10m of an exposed outfall pipe located in Southend-on-Sea.
The outfall pipe in question was showing signs of corrosion and erosion due to the stoney beach and foot traffic in the vicinity. The Denso SeaShield 70/80™ System, comprising Denso Paste S105™, SeaShield™ Marine Piling Tape, Densoclad 70™, Denso Glass Outerwrap UV™ (GOW UV) and Poly-wrap, was proposed and accepted as it not only provides effective corrosion prevention but mechanical and UV protection too.
The function of the Poly-wrap is to provide sufficient time and tension for the GOW UV to cure. The Polywrap is removed and suitably disposed of once the GOW UV has fully cured, leaving a smooth, hard outer layer that protects the completed system from wave action and debris.
